Boomer!
Our talent line-up for 2019 just went BOOM!
That’s right, to help kick off your grand final weekend, the Commentators Club is proud to announce we’ve got Brent ‘Boomer’ Harvey as our AFL great. We all know Boomer as the little champ who is the current AFL games record holder at 432. With Boomer it wasn’t just the longevity of his career … it was the quality. A one club player, he is undoubtedly one of the AFL’s stars of the 21st Century. Harvey is assured a place among the finest players ever to wear the blue and white. A four-time All Australian, five-time Best and Fairest winner, premiership player and former captain of the Kangaroos. He was goog from the start, debuting in 1996, he quickly found the goals kicking 32 goals in ’98 as a crumber in “Pagan’s Paddock”. After the disappointment of playing in North’s losing Grand Final side that year he backed up to be a great player in North’s 1999 premiership side, along the way winning the EJ Whitten Medal in the State of Origin as a young player. The accolades run too long to mention but we’ll throw in that he’s also been runner up in the Brownlow Medal and captained Australia in International Rules. We can’t wait to chat with Boomer. |
